Squeakers=0)

My boy got a haircut this past month. He hadn't had a cut since just before Christmas and he was so knotted, it was terrible! So I cut most of the knots out myself before bringing him to the groomers. I figured with the weather turning so much warmer so quickly, he would get too hot! So off we went. I kind of enjoy when he goes(usually only twice a year, if that) because I get to leave him there for 2 hours and come home and have a break=o)
So here was the finished look! Not bad for a summer cut, eh? He should keep nice and cool now, at least til the fall.
This picture is of my poor boy totally out of it. He ended up getting a clippers burn(still bugging him to this day) and he kept itching the spot, therefore making it bleed! He wouldn't stop itching and it was driving me insane! I felt bad for him because he couldn't do anything to stop it. So I called my sister, Jennifer and asked if she had any children's benadryl. Thankfully she did and so I picked it up and gave some to Squeakers. It took 2 doses before it finally kicked in and he was out like a light for a couple hours=o) He finally stopped itching during that time, but continually does it still and each time he does, it opens up again.
He LOVES this basket! It may look too small, but he usually curls up in a little ball and sleeps well in it=o) Usually, he likes to be with me wherever I go. But when he was zonked out, he didn't even move when he heard me moving. At one point, he kind of looked up at me, but he was so dazed, I had to laugh and then he put his head down again and went rite back to sleep.
This is the lovely clipper burn. At the top left is his eye. This is a side profile. He only has one small spot, about the size of a nickle left that's still bothering him. I'm hoping it goes away soon! I have even resorted to putting a baby sock on his back paw, the one he uses to scratch with, in hopes that he can't keep opening it up with his nails. He is still scratching, but it's not opening up as much with the sock on=o)
