I know it's taken me a long time to post these pictures, but oh well. The real reason it took me so long to take and post pictures was because I wanted to have my room a bit tidier, but since that doesn't seem to happen, I figured you would just have to excuse the mess while viewing these=o) I have been living in my new place since June 1st. I am loving the extra space I have. The only downfall is I have absolutely no closets!
Here is the door I have in my bedroom leading onto the porch. I don't think I can actually walk onto it from my room, but it does have a screen and allows a nice breeze in=o)
Does anyone want to guess what this door leads to???
Why, it's my bathroom of course=oP My tiny, itty, bitty bathroom that was made out of half the original walk-in closet from my bedroom.
It is oh so small. You'll see just how small in the next pic.
This is it! A toilet and a sink. But I am proud to say that Seth, Ethan and I could all fit in that tiny space with the door closed. Not for more than a minute, but Seth wanted to see if we all fit.
Door #2..... Any guesses??? This is technically the original doorway to my walk-in closet. But now it's...................
My shower=oP Interesting, eh? The shower, sink and toilet are all in the walk-in closet, but because it was more narrow than anything, my landlord couldn't put all 3 together as 1 room. So now, I have to take a shower in my room.
It's just a stand up shower, no tub, which works out well for me since I'm not a fan of taking baths.
Here is my bed. I have yet to paint that one wall. It will happen one of these days!
This is what you see when you first walk in my bedroom. Don't mind the boxes, but with no closet or storage space, there's nowhere else to put it. It was great when Seth and Ethan slept over the other week. They both were able to fit comfortably in my room. Seth slept on the couch cushions in front of the door leading to the porch and Ethan slept in the playpen in front of my closet door/shower;o) There is a fireplace in this room as well, but it's covered by my storage tubs. Neither fireplace works, so I don't mind having this one covered.
This is where I hang my clothes to dry. It's much better than over my kitchen chairs like I used to do in my old place. Here I usually have things hanging on it til I do laundry again and have to hang new stuff.
My 'closet'. Unfortunately I don't have anything to close off my clothes and sometimes I worry that the steam from the shower will leave a smell and linger on my clothes. There is no fan in the bathroom or shower, so I usually have the fan in my room on and leave the closet/shower door open til it airs out a bit.
All my clothes fit well on this hanger thingy, so I'm definitely no complaining! Here you can see that from my bedroom, there is the front entrance which goes on to the kitchen/living room.
From the front entrance this is what you see when you first walk in.
This is the door to my bathroom. They didn't want to ruin the character of the house and that's why the bathroom was done the way it was. Altho they did have to cut this door area.
My beautiful front door! I absolutely love these doors!
I can have just one open or both.
Walking in from the entrance. Straight ahead is the kitchen/dining area. To the right is the living room. It's all one big room.
My little kitchen area, with my OVEN, which I absolutely love!!!=0)
My eating area. It works well sitting where it is. I wasn't sure if I would like it there at first, but I do now. I had hoped to kind of tuck it away in the corner, but couldn't because of the heater thing and the fridge.
My little corner table.
My dining/computer area.
My gorgeous fireplace! It is probably my favorite part of the place, along with the super tall ceilings=o)
My living room.
And my nice front window=o) I am very happy living here and very grateful that this was available when I was looking for a place! God is so good!!!
